Residents in Highbridge are going to the polls today (Thursday) to vote in a Town Council by-election.

The election has been called after the previous councillor for Highbridge stood down for personal reasons.

Two candidates are standing – Terry Dommett is representing the Conservatives while Victoria Weavell is the Liberal Democrat’s candidate.

Polling stations, open from 7am-10pm, are at Morland Hall in Pearce Drive and at Highbridge Community Hall in Market Street.
