Photos: Police called to rhyne car plunge near Burnham-On-Sea

Police were called to this vehicle in a rhyne near Burnham-On-Sea earlier this week.

Officers rushed to Burnham Moor Lane, between Edithmead and Watchfield, after a passing motorist spotted the Seat Ibiza resting bonnet-first in the water.

Police spokesman Scott McPherson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "There was no-one inside and no-one has reported this as an accident to us. It has therefore been logged as an abandoned vehicle."

The incident in Burnham Moor Lane comes just a couple of days after a car crashed into a ditch in Harp Lane between Brent Knoll and Mark, as reported here.

Anyone with information about the incident can telephone Burnham Police on the non-emergency number 101.
