Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station’s latest SOS Charity Car Wash has raised a record sum of more than £1,000.

In chilly but dry conditions on Saturday (January 31st), Burnham RNLI’s volunteer crews washed over 90 cars to a pristine finish, raising a total of £1,015 for the charity’s funds.

Burnham-On-Sea Lifeboat Operations Manager Matt Davies said: “Our thanks go to all those involved and a special thanks to the hand car wash next door who closed for the duration. I’m really pleased we broke the £1000 mark, everyone worked really hard to raise a fantastic amount for the RNLI.”
