Burnham hosts Christmas fairs, carol singing and a polar bear!
busy Saturday of Christmas events is scheduled to take place in
the Burnham-On-Sea area today.
highlighted some of the key events happening below...
Marine Cove gardens on the seafront are holding a free 'Carols
in the Cove' event today between 2-4pm. The King Alfred Youth
Brass Band will be performing, alongside Berrow Hand Bell Ringers
and more. There will be a stocking hunt in the gardens, with free
mince pies for the children who take part as well as free mulled
wine for the adults.
A Christmas Fayre is being held today by 1st Burnham-On-Sea Scout
Group at their HQ at the town's BASC Ground form 1pm to 5pm. Enjoy
lots of fun stalls for everyone, plus craft stalls and more!
Burnham's Christmas Tree Festival opens today at St Andrew's Church
with a special service at 6pm to mark the lighting of over 30
Meet Nanuq, a life-sized animatronic polar bear that will delight
young and old alike. He will be appearing at 11.30am, 1pm and
2pm at the Ritz Social Club in Victoria Street as part of Burnham's
Frostival event organised by the Town Council. Free of charge
and look out for Santa too!
Burnham's skating rink will be opening today from 12 mid-day running
through to January 2nd. It will be open for seven hours a day
and skating sessions will cost £4. Opening times will be
Mondays to Thursdays 10am-5pm, Friday and Saturdays 10am-7pm and
Burnham Baptist Church in College Street is holding its Christmas
Fair today from 10am.
Burnham's Towans Nursing Home in Berrow Road will hold their Christmas
Bazaar today from 2.30-4.30pm. Enjoy a craft stall, tombola, and
Somerset Court in Brent Knoll is holding its Christmas Bazaar
today from 4-8pm with many stalls, crafts and entertainment for
on in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge
