World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raises hundreds for charity in Burnham

-

Several locations across the Burnham-On-Sea area have held fundraising coffee mornings over the past week as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for charity.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship fundraiser which last year raised £10million for the charity, which improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.

Burnham’s Mayor and Mayoress attended a special coffee event in The Ritz Social Club for the charity.

And Daintea Tea Rooms in Burnham’s Cross Street also held a Bake and Buy sale, pictured right.

The Towans Residential Home in Burnham held a successful coffee/tea afternoon, while other events were held in Berrow Village and at Brean Play. Burnham’s Pavilion has also been selling coffee and cakes through the month for Macmillan Cancer Support.
