Couple to complete fundraising run in memory of their son

-

A local couple will be running the Bristol 10K this weekend in memory of their son who died prematurely.

Ryan and Natasha Bird are fundraising for Sands, a charity that offers support to bereaved parents.

“Baby James was born on 2nd June 2013 at just 24 weeks and fell asleep shortly after,” said Ryan, who runs Fonehouse on Burnham-On-Sea High Street.

“Baby James will always have a special place in our hearts. We are collecting sponsorship in aid of Sands, an amazing charity who offered help and support to us in what can only be described as one of the toughest time in our lives.”

“Without Sands and our amazing family, I honestly don’t know how Natasha or I would of got through this. As well as offering support around the loss of our beautiful boy, they continue to offer support whenever we need it.”

“As well as James we have two other sons Joshua, 4, and Jayden, 1. We make sure that James is a massive part of all of our lives and the love our two boys show him is incredible, whether it’s Joshua sending up his balloons to him or asking to visit him at the flower garden.”
