Over 50 youngsters enjoyed a special teddy bear’s picnic at Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens on Wednesday (July 22nd).

The gardens on Burnham’s Esplanade next to St Andrew’s Church hosted the free event over the course of two hours.

The event was opened by Sedgemoor District Council Chairman Cllr Ian Dyer along with Community Gardener Jacqui Strong.

The event was also led by Team Leader Julie Cooper with the Friends of Marine Cove volunteers.

The fun-filled event was attended by scores of local families, with roughly 50 children getting involved.

There was a free bear-themed treasure hunt, readings of some teddy bear stories and colouring activities.
