West Huntspill garage blaze 'was set maliciously' believe fire crews

Fire crews say a garage blaze in West Huntspill on Friday afternoon (June 26th) is believed to have been set maliciously.

Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called to tackle the blaze in Ringstone, West Huntspill at 4.35pm.

"Fire appliances from Burnham and Bridgwater were mobilised to a report of smoke issuing from a garage block," a spokesman told Burngham-On-Sea.com.

"The incident involved rubbish on fire within a single storey garage approximately three metres by three metres."

"Two breathing apparatus wearers and one hose reel jet were used to extinguish the fire, with 20% fire damage caused to the roof of the garages and 80% by smoke."

"The cause of the fire was believed to be malicious."

Anyone with information regarding how the fire started should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
