Brave firewalkers in Brent Knoll raise over £4,000 for local charity

£4,000 was raised for charity when a group of brave fundraisers took part in a firewalk near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday evening (February 20th).

43 people strode across 20ft of burning embers at Somerset Court in Brent Knoll to raise sponsorship donations.

Organiser Karen Hart told "I'm so relieved that it went safely, and I'm delighted that we've raised over £4,000 for Somerset Court and its facilities."

"We are very grateful to all the staff and supporters who did the firewalk, raising such a superb amount."

Somerset Court was the first specialist centre for people with autism in the UK and remains among the leading centres in the country.
