TODAY: Join Easter music marathon for Burnham-On-Sea’s Folkfest

-

The organisers of Burnham’s FolkFest are all set to hold their traditional Easter Sunday fundraising music marathon.

The event – which is being held at the Princess Theatre in Burnham – will see live music from 2pm.

Nine great acts will be performing until 11pm to raise funds towards the costs of holding Burnham’s late summer folk festival.

Many of Burnham’s most popular acts will be playing, plus the excellent Devon-based folk band De-Malebysse. Doors open at 1.30pm, with entry costing £5 for an all-day wristband.

There’ll also be a bar serving real ales, farmhouse ciders and wines, as well as snacks and light refreshments.

Approximate running times are as follows: 2pm: De-Malebysse, 3pm: The Winkers, 4pm: Bouncing Biscuit, 5pm: Talk Show Hosts, 6pm: Nick Elswood, 7pm: Emily Elswood, 7.30pm: Vermin, 8.30pm: Laser Horse and 9.45pm: Rude Awakening.

There will also be a projection film show outside the theatre during the evening, as we previewed here.

All proceeds go to Burnham’s annual Folkfest, which takes place from September 3rd-6th, and is this year celebrating its 10th anniversary.
