darts player wins £200,000 Premier League title
Burnham-On-Sea darts player Gary Anderson has won the Premier
League title to go with his world championship.
44-year-old who beat Phil Taylor five months ago in the
world final ruthlessly dispatched of Michael van Gerwen
11-7 in the playoff final at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday
a thrilling climax to the televised 16-week competition, Gary
lifted the second biggest prize in darts for the second time and
received a cheque for £200,000.
50% success rate on the doubles was the crucial factor behind
this victory, particularly as world no.1 Van Gerwen wasted 15
of his 22 doubles attempts.
this year, Burnham held a Civic Ceremony for Gary Anderson when
he won the world championship for the first time, as we reported

Mayoress Maria Clarke earlier this year
