Students from Burnham-On-Sea’s Gemini Tae Kwon-Do Club are gearing up to take part in this weekend’s TAGB Southern Championships in Torquay.

Around 500 competitors from across the south west will be competing in the last regional competition of the year this Saturday (3rd October).

Among them will be Max Bradley and Beverley Milner-Simmonds from Burnham, who train at the club at King Alfred School in Highbridge.

Senior instructor Jane Lambert told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I’m really looking forward to watching my students compete. They have all been working exceptionally hard and attending extra training sessions to get themselves fighting fit. It’s going to be an amazing day!”

The club welcomes newcomers from age five upwards on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6.30pm at King Alfred School.
