Weather fails to dampen spirits at Gypsy’s concert in Manor Gardens

-

An afternoon of live musical entertainment with Highbridge singer Gypsy Watkins went in Burnham’s Manor Gardens on Sunday (June 28th) despite the audience facing heavy rain showers.

The free performance took place in the gardens and was attended by dozens of spectators throughout the afternoon.

“We had a great time despite the weather being against us today,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “Thanks go to everyone. The concert offered something for all tastes – from rock and pop to classical, opera and jazz.”

It was Gypsy’s first open air concert in Burnham’s Manor Gardens and she used the event to launch her new CD featuring her original pop songs.

The event was organised in conjunction with Burnham Lions Club and suppprted by BOSH Events and included a performance by the Dance Fit Academy dancers.

Donations will be welcome at the event for the Gypsy and Purple Foundation, raising funds for needy children, and the Lions Club for local good causes.
