Highbridge’s Christmas lights are set to be switched on officially by the Mayor of Burnham and Highbridge on Saturday evening (28th November).

The ceremony will be held at 5pm by the town’s Christmas tree on the Town Green in Market Street.

From 4.30pm onwards there will be carols round the tree with the children from Churchfield School’s choir, and the Community Hall will be open, where teas and coffees will be available alongside a craft fair.

Mike Murphy, Chairman of the Highbridge Chamber of Trade and Commerce, pictured, which organises the Christmas lighting in Highbridge, said: “We are grateful for the support of the Town Council for providing the tree, and for its grant support enabling us to provide the Christmas lighting through Market Street and Church Street.”
