Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rescued a horse stranded in a ditch on Thursday (December 10th).

A fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea and a specialist water rescue team from Bridgwater was called to Vole Road in the village of Mark at 1.30pm.

“The incident commander confirmed that a horse was stuck in approximately 4ft of water and crews got to work securing the area while awaiting the arrival of the specialist rescue team,” said a fire spokesman.
