defibrillator unveiled at Burnham-On-Sea seafront hotel
life-saving piece of equipment has been installed at a Burnham-On-Sea
hotel for the public's use this week.
The Royal Clarence Hotel on The Esplanade has purchased a fully-automated
defibrillator for use in medical emergencies.
machine, a Lifepak CRplus, has cost the business £1,250
guests, bar customers and members of the public located nearby
will now have the use of this life saving machine, which can make
an enormous difference to someone suffering a sudden Cardiac Arrest,"
said the hotel's Paul Chatwin.
machine will be available from 9am to 10.30pm on seven days a
week and is available from staff in the hotel reception and/or
NHS will be adding details of the hotel to their database of machines
in the local area and will direct people to the seafront property
first three minutes following a Sudden Cardiac Arrest are crucial
for the patient and machines such as this can save lives while
awaiting the arrival of ambulance staff. More details here.
