A 4×4 was rescued after getting stuck in mud on Burnham-On-Sea beach on Tuesday evening (April 14th).

A Jeep Cherokee was being used to launch a boat into Bridgwater Bay when its wheels became stranded north of the jetty.

Burnham RNLI used its tractor to pull the vehicle and its trailer up the beach to safety because it was close to their lifeboat launching area.

The boat was being launched to carry out surveying work in the waters off nearby Brean.
