An aspiring young photographer and film maker from Burnham-On-Sea has fulfilled a dream by mingling with some of the world’s top movie stars at a red carpet premiere.

Jessie Hawkes worked at The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 premiere in London this month, photographing these famous faces from the movie world including Donald Sutherland, Natalie Dormer, Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.

“I was taken back – it was so unreal to see Hollywood stars before my eyes – especially Jennifer Lawrence because I greatly admire her,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“It hasn’t really hit me yet but my work is being noticed by the right people and I’m hoping this is the beginning of something special.”

Jessie added: “It’s a tough industry to crack. But I think if you have a passion and love for what you do, you will get there.”

“It’s also about taking every opportunity to full advantage and being creative with it.”

Jessie joined the third year at the University of West of England and is set to graduate next June with her Bachelor Honours Degree in Filmmaking.

She already has a following of over 64,000 people across her social networks and will continue to use social media in a positive way. “Social media is great for this industry. I use it positively. I think it’s such a powerful tool and it’s how I’m being recognised,” she added.

Jessie’s dream is to work as a motion picture photographer and cinematographer.
