Book lovers of all ages flocked to Burnham-On-Sea library on Saturday (February 7th) to join a series of activities to mark National Libraries Day.

The event at the Princess Street library was well supported, with Matt the Storyteller from Storyfeet, pictured, keeping children entertained with a series of stories.

A popular parchment making demonstration was held during the day, pictured below. And the library also offered half-price DVD hire, a ‘Name the Library Bear’ competition and other activities.

Now in its fourth year, National Libraries Day is part of a national celebration of libraries and library staff.
