Burnham group set to welcome Lundy enthusiast for island talk

-

A Burnham-On-Sea group is welcoming a photographer to talk about Lundy Island’s colourful past and conservation this week.

Burnham-On-Sea Amateur Wine Maker’s Circle is holding the open meeting – where newcomers are welcome – at Burnham Community Centre in Berrow Road on Tuesday 13th January at 7.45pm.

The speaker will be Alan Mildren, a wildlife photographer with a special love of the island and, in particular, its marine wildlife.

He will give an illustrated talk with an overview of the island as it is today and also tell of its history and its links to pirates and smugglers.

The Wine Circle meets on the second Tuesday of each month and new members are always welcome. You do not have to be a wine maker to join the club’s social activities.
