BBC radio presenter to open Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in Brent Knoll

A mad hatter’s tea party in Brent Knoll will be opened by BBC Somerset presenter Emma Britton today (Saturday, May 16th).

The event will get underway from 2-5pm at St Michael’s Church where cream teas, stalls, games, family competitions and a baking contest will be held.

The Parish of Three Saints Bake-Off will see budding bakers creating Victoria Sponge sandwiches, jam tarts, cup cakes and decorated cakes with a mad hatter’s tea party theme.

The entries will be judged by the BBC’s Emma Britton and Alison Barnes of Let’s Celebrate Cakes. Entry forms are available from Brent Knoll Post Office or by calling 01278 760691.

A Mad Hat competition will also be held, and there will be prizes will be held for flower decorations in a tea pot or cup.
