Police have charged a 27-year-old man in connection with a fatal collision near Burnham-On-Sea in which another man died.

Dominic Antonio Harding, of Bilston in the West Midlands, has been charged with one count of causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the prescribed alcohol limit.

Rob Goodwin from Highbridge died when the Renault Clio car he was travelling in left The Causeway and ended up on its roof in a rhyne at around 2am on May 30th this year.

Harding has been released on bail and is due to attend Taunton Magistrates’ Court on 27th November.

Scores of tributes were paid to the popular Highbridge man with bouquets of flowers and messages laid next to the rhyne.
