The Met Office has issued a warning of high winds and heavy rain in the Burnham-On-Sea area for Friday morning (November 13th).

A yellow warning for wind has been issued for the area between 4am and 10am by forecasters.

“Winds are expected to increase for a time on Friday morning, becoming briefly squally as a band of heavy, showery and perhaps thundery rain passes through,” said a spokesman.

“Winds will become briefly squally with gusts of 50-60 mph possible, perhaps locally up to 70 mph along exposed coasts and hills.”

“Winds will ease a little by mid-morning but remain strong and gusty.”

“This may lead to some minor travel disruption and difficult driving conditions.”
