A film crew from BBC1’s One Show filmed a programme on Brean Beach at the weekend.

Walkers were able to watch the show’s reporter, Angellica Bell, as she presented a segment for the show next to Brean Down, as pictured here.

A spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the episode will feature sand artist Simon Beck, who frequently creates huge circles and other artwork next to Brean Down. See Simon’s work on the beach here.

Beach walkers were able to watch Angellica as she interviewed Simon about his work. The crew spent several hours filming Simon at work as his latest creation took shape on the sands. The episode will be screened over the next fortnight.

Simon – who is also well known for his artwork on snow overseas – uses a simple garden rake to create the designs on the beach at Brean. They take several hours to complete on the beach due to their size.

Former CBBC star Angellica, 39, is a familiar face on TV screens, having reported for The One Show and other childrens and entertainment programmes.
