Basil the missing parrot puts searchers in Burnham in a flap!

-

Burnham-On-Sea residents are being asked to look out for a lost parrot which has been spotted several times across the town since escaping from its owner this week.

The African Grey Parrot, called Basil, flew out of a property in Grove Road on Wednesday (April 15th).

“He flew out of the back door and has since been seen in the Manor Gardens, near the swimming pool, and at St Andrew’s Church so we know he’s still in the area but is hiding in the trees and proving very difficult to catch,” said owner Will Jenkins.

“We’ve had Basil for many years – he’s part of our family and it’s upsetting that he’s not with us, so we would very much welcome any help in getting him back,” he added.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the bird should call 07912 784504 or 01278 783396.
