A community peace vigil is set to be held in Burnham-On-Sea tghis evening (Wednesday November 25th) in the wake of recent terrorism attacks across the world.

Residents are being invited to attend with a candle in the town’s Manor Gardens at 6.30pm.

Rev Sharon Eldergill from St Andrew’s Church told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Some local residents will be heading to the Manor Gardens with a candle to simply stand and remember those who have lost their lives in Paris, Africa and the Middle East through the brokenness of this world.”

“This is not an ‘official event’ as such. It’s just individual residents coming together to make a silent gesture for peace.”

“Anyone is welcome to come along with a candle and make their own silent contribution to the vigil.”
