Fire crews were called to tackle a fuel leak at a motorway service station near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday evening (July 11th).

Crews were called to Sedgemoor Services on the M5 southbound carriageway following a petrol spillage.

"We were called to reports of a petrol spill shortly after 5pm," said a spokesman.

"Crews confirmed 40 litres of petrol had leaked onto forecourt and they used sand and absorbent agents to clear the spillage."
