play area unveiled after £4,400 revamp by district council
£4,400 revamp of a children's play area near Burnham-On-Sea
has been completed and officially opened this week.
District Council has completed the overhaul of Orchard Close play
area in East Brent and the new facilities were opened by Council
Chairman Peter Downing and ward councillor Cllr Bob Filmer, as
work includes a new roundabout and springer, while two of the
existing four swings have been replaced with cradle seats so that
toddlers can enjoy them. The new equipment has also been set into
safer mulch surfacing.
Mason, Parks Officer, said: "This project is designed to
ensure the park offers a wide range of play opportunities for
a broad age range of children."

project has cost £4,400 and has been funded by RLT2 Developer
Contributions for Play which are held by Sedgemoor District Council.
