New landlord has big plans for Burnham-On-Sea town centre pub

A Burnham-On-Sea pub has a new landlord who intends to turn it into a community facility with live music and a friendly atmosphere.

Burnham resident Phil Burke has taken over The Old Pier Tavern in Burnham’s Pier Street.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re turning it into a relaxed and welcoming community pub with great music and food.”

“There will be fantastic live music at the weekends, starting this Saturday, and karaoke nights each Friday.”

The pub is also getting a new look too, said Phil. “We’ve completed an exterior overhaul to give the pub a fresh look outside and there will also be an interior refurb taking place early next year.”

“Our menu will be starting soon too, offering home-made food such as all-day breakfasts, Sunday roasts and delicious burgers.”

The pub will also be starting a new darts team starting shortly, with an appeal for new players already issued, and its pool teams are also reforming and returning.
