Cross launches new moibility aids service in Burnham-On-Sea
British Red Cross in Burnham-On-Sea has launched a new collection
service for people who need a mobility aid, such as a wheelchair
or walking frame, to help them regain their independence after
an illness or accident.
service is being run on a trial basis in the town following the
closure of the Red Cross mobility aids shop in Victoria Street
last year, as we
service will work on an appointment basis with members of the
public collecting their equipment from a care home in the Esplanade
area of the town.
Greenhalgh, Red Cross mobility aids co-ordinator, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"We closed the mobility aids centre in Burnham-on-Sea at
the end of last year because the lease came to an end and the
building was no longer fit for our purposes."
