Crowds of people got into the festive spirit by attending a popular fundraising Christmas fair in Berrow on Sunday (22nd November).

The event, ‘Shop for a Cure for Christmas’, was held in aid of Somerset Breast Cancer Now in Berrow Village Hall.

Organiser Holly MacBeth told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “What a totally truly amazing day! Shop For A Cure for Xmas was yet again another great success – I’m overwhelmed by everyone’s kind generosity and support for our brilliant charity.”

“You should all be very proud as you have helped to raise a staggering £811! Thank you to all our stall holders, visiting Princess Wlsa and Olaf and to all who donated cakes, raffle prizes and tombola goodies.”

“A big thank you also goes to my fabulous group members and helpers who have worked tirelessly today and over the weeks and months before this! We sincerely could not do this with out you all! So on behalf of the Somerset Breast Cancer Now, thank you.”

Stall holders displayed a wide range of Christmas items, from cakes, art and chocolate to handmade jewellery and handmade cards.

Youngsters were also able to enjoy bunting and button decorating, pottery-making and special appearances by several colourful characters.
