A shop window competition is underway in Burnham-On-Sea this week to coincide with the half-term holidays and town’s Food Festival.

The Harvest Spot The Odd Item Trail tests the observational skills of visitors to the town centre, where over a dozen items have been hidden in shop windows and online.

Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade and Burnham Food & Drink Festival have joined forces to organise the event in the run up to the festival on Saturday October 31st.

The competition runs from October 22nd-Sunday November 1st and entry forms are available from Sea Breeze art gallery in Victoria Street and GW Hurleys in the High Street.

A cash prize is up for grabs for the winner who finds the most items and, if necessary, completes a tie-breaker question.

This month’s Food Festival, running from 9am-4pm in five indoor venues and the town centre will see more than 90 local traders showcasing the best of seasonal, local produce.
