A Christmas Carol Service is to be held in Burnham-On-Sea next month to raise funds for a charity in the town.

Siobhan Johnson is organising the event when all her choirs and singers will take part for ‘In Charley’s Memory.’

The ‘Carols by Candlelight’ service will be held on Saturday 12th December at 7pm in St Andrew’s Church, Burnham.

The performance will include The Siobhan Johnson Singers and Burnham Youth Choir singing ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Walking in the Air.’

‘Burnham On Song’ will also be performing Schubert’s beautiful ‘Ave Maria’ ‘ with guest light operatic soloist Rowan Mobsby Frost as well as ‘Christmas Lullaby’ by John Rutter and ‘What Child is This.’

Highbridge Festival gold medallists Hannah Murdoch and Connie Patterson will also be joined by Rowan as they sing their own version of Katherine Jenkins’ ‘Pachelbel’s Canon’ and there will be a moment of remembrance to light a candle for anyone who has lost a family member or friend ending with ‘Burnham Youth Choir’ navigating their way through the ever-popular ’12 Days of Christmas’ with the involvement of the congregation.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £3.00 (under 5s free), available from ‘The Cratfy Tea Cup’ in Burnham-On-Sea’s Victoria Street or on the door.
