in Burnham-On-Sea and Brean on Saturday (March 7th).
reached 16.5°C (61F) in Burnham on Saturday afternoon, a welcome
warm spell following a chilly start to the year.
and the seafront in Burnham were busy with walkers and families
enjoying the Spring sunshine, as pictured above.
Beach Warden Dave Furber told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Our beach
was very busy with 140 vehicles parked during the afternoon -
our busiest day of the year so far."
Chamber of Trade also reported that several shops in the town
centre had enjoyed a busy day of trade from visitors, while the
team at BIARS (Burnham Information and Rescue Support) saw a busy
day handling queries at the town's tourist information centre.
