Highbridge’s St John Church is celebrating summer with a flower festival and a fair this week.

The annual flower festival will be held at the church from Friday June 19th to Sunday June 21st which promises a display of a wide range of colourful blooms.

“The festival features stunning, colourful blooms put together in vibrant displays by local individuals and organisations,” Martin Angell, one of the organisers, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The church always looks particularly beautiful when full of these wonderful displays at this time of year.”

And on Saturday (20th June) from 2-4pm, the church will also hold its annual Summer Fair with many stalls selling cakes, jams, plants, bottle stall, bric-a-brac and much more. There will also be children’s games and a raffle.

The events are totally free to enter and all are very welcome. Any contributions towards church funds and the work of the church will be appreciated.
