Community-spirited Burnham teenagers raise cash for local charities

A group of community-spirited teenagers in Burnham-On-Sea has raised hundreds of pounds for local charities by completing a series of fundraising challenges.

The 13 teenagers are currently undertaking their National Citizen Service and have completed their ‘social action project’ in Burnham during recent weeks as part of a four-week programme.

The group have completed car washes, treasure hunts and other events to raise funds for BARB Search & Rescue, In Charley’s Memory and The Friends of Burnham Hospital.

In total they raised over £420 for local charities. A cheque for £186 is pictured above being presented to BARB.
