Legal action begins in bid to remove travellers from Burnham car park

-

Sedgemoor District Council has begun legal proceedings to get a group of travellers removed from a Burnham-On-Sea car park.

The travellers moved into Burnham’s Pier Street car park on Sunday afternoon (July 26th), where several large caravans and towing vehicles have been parked up across multiple spaces.

Burnham’s Town Centre Manager Beverley Milner Simonds told Burnhm-On-Sea.com: “I contacted Sedgemoor District Council on Monday morning at 8.30am that there had been several caravans set up in Pier Street long-stay car park and I was reassured that they had already received multiple notifications and that the matter had been passed on to their legal team.”
