Three released on bail amid police probe into car attacks in Burnham

-

Three men have been released on bail by police after the tyres of more than 20 vehicles were slashed in Burnham-On-Sea during the early hours of last Saturday (October 10th).

Vehicles parked along Willis Court, just off Marine Drive, and Highbridge’s Morland Estate were attacked with a knife, leaving their tyres deflated, as pictured.

Police spokesman Scott McPherson told Burnham-On-Sea.com that 22 motorists have come forward to report their vehicles were damaged.

He added: “The three arrested have been bailed until a date in November.”

The three were arrested at around 4.15am last Saturday morning after a resident alerted police.

Officers from Burnham-On-Sea Police are still investigating the incident and any other residents who have not yet reported the damage to their cars should do so by calling the non-emergency police number 101.
