Three released on bail amid police probe into car attacks in Burnham

Three men have been released on bail by police after the tyres of more than 20 vehicles were slashed in Burnham-On-Sea during the early hours of last Saturday (October 10th).

Vehicles parked along Willis Court, just off Marine Drive, and Highbridge's Morland Estate were attacked with a knife, leaving their tyres deflated, as pictured.

Police spokesman Scott McPherson told Burnham-On-Sea.com that 22 motorists have come forward to report their vehicles were damaged.

He added: "The three arrested have been bailed until a date in November."

The three were arrested at around 4.15am last Saturday morning after a resident alerted police.

Officers from Burnham-On-Sea Police are still investigating the incident and any other residents who have not yet reported the damage to their cars should do so by calling the non-emergency police number 101.
