clean-up planned after vandalism at East Huntspill School
A community clean-up operation will be held at East Huntspill
School today (Saturday, January 3rd) after mean vandals left
a trail of damage there on New Year's Day.
school will be open at 10am for local people to help
tidy up the school grounds to help it re-open on schedule for
the start of the school term on Monday.
school has offers of assistance from many local individuals and
groups, including Burnham Lions Club.

Griffin, from the school's PTA group, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
say three people in dark clothing were seen near the school at
around 7pm on New Year's Eve and they are keen to identify them.
have appealed for witnesses to the break-in - which occurred on
New Year's Eve -
when vandals broke play equipment and smashed down doors to cause
added: "We're all absolutely shocked and very, very upset
that someone would do this. There has been a lot of damage to
the outdoor play areas. Many pre-school outdoor toys have been
broken and there has been damage to our memorial garden wildlife
awful for the school's children that the equipment has been damaged
in this way - it's senseless. Play
equipment was also spread across the playing field at the side
of the school."
