This dramatic wartime plane crash in Burnham-On-Sea will be recalled during a local history talk this week.

Robert Turner of Westonzoyland Aviation Museum will give an illustrated talk at North Sedgemoor Local History Group’s meeting on Wednesday evening (January 14th).

“During the first half of the meeting we will see images from 1922 until the second world war, including this one of a plane that came down in the town,” said a spokesman. “The second half of the meeting will focus on local images of changes since these times.”

Wednesday’s talk will start at 7pm at King Alfred School Lecture Theatre in Highbridge. Visitors are welcome to attend for just £2 or to pay £5 to become a member and visit the group’s full planned programme of talks for the year.
