The judges of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s annual Christmas lights competition have issued a call for entries this week as the contest gets underway.

The Town Council is encouraging residents and businesses to illuminate their homes and premises across the two towns.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the best displays for best individual residence in Burnham and Highbridge. There will also be a prize for the best business window in Burnham or Highbridge.

Only those properties which have been specifically entered the competition will be judged. To enter, email the Town Council at lorna@burnham-highbridge.org or telephone Lorna on 01278 788088 by 5pm on 11th December. Cups and shields for the winners will be engraved and held for a year.

Judging will take place during the week commencing Monday 14th December. This year’s prizes will be presented on January 18th, 2016 at the council’s Town Projects Committee Meeting.
