Street artist completing sea-themed artwork in Burnham-On-Sea

-

A well-known street artist is putting the finishing touches to a huge sea-themed piece of art in Burnham-On-Sea town centre this week.

Syd the artist, whose business is called The Stencil Shed, has been featured on Channel 4’s programme ‘Shed of the Year’ and is a full-time artist.

His latest design is being painted on a wall at the western end of Nick Tolley Photography in Abingdon Street, as pictured here.

Nick told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I am delighted to have such a unique and fascinating piece of art on the building.”

“Syd has been selling small pieces of his work all day long and everybody who has come up has been really amazed.”

“Syd started it during the Spray Jam weekend but unfortunately after doing the base outline on Friday became ill with food poisoning and couldn’t return until Thursday. He now really likes Burnham and will be a regular visitor.”
