Photos: Lakes at Highbridge’s Apex Park overflow after days of rainfall

-

Paths and benches at Apex Park in Highbridge have been left partially submerged under water this week after heavy rain raised the level of the lakes.

These were the scenes at the park on Tuesday after three days of rainfall caused the lakes to overspill.

Sedgemoor District Council, which oversees the park, has warned visitors to take extra care when walking around the park.

The high water level has closed many of the paths around the lakes. Burnham-On-Sea.com reader Terry Duff, who took these photos, joked that the park’s ducks were enjoying their expanded swimming area.
