A brand new artisan art shop gallery and shop has opened in Burnham-On-Sea town centre this week.

Andrews of Abingdon Street features a wide range of locally-produced modern and vibrant work, from paintings to ceramics.

Run by Jerome Andrew in conjunction with Lisa Skinner, the new gallery officially opened on Monday, August 1st.

Local artists whose work is featured include Damian Nicholson, Laura Biss, Claire Springfield, Maisie Makes Jewellery and Malcolm Spratt.

“We have had lots of positive feedback so far and are keen to hear from other local artists and craft makers who want us to display their work – do pop in and let us know,” said Jerome.

“The premises adds a bit more colour and vibrancy to the street and is interesting to browse around for visitors.”

Lisa added: “We both love art and wanted to start a business that is unique to Burnham. We hope to hold new workshops here soon for local people to get involved with creating art.”

The new gallery has also been named the official gallery for Burnham’s Spray Jam, which takes place in the town centre on August 13th and 14th.
