Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre will host an outstanding classical ballet on Saturday night (June 18th).

Award winning company Ballet Cymru will present two stories from the mind of the most popular storyteller in the world, Roald Dahl.

Roald Dahl was born and grew up in Cardiff, and to celebrate the centenary of this famous author, two of his hugely popular stories are coming home to Wales in ballet adaptations.

Ballet Cymru has been granted permission from The Dahl Foundation to produce two works based on sections of the wonderful Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes, Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs.

This outstanding classical ballet was choreographed by Darius James and Amy Doughty, inspired by the outstanding and internationally recognised musical scores by composer Paul Patterson.

With the support of the Dahl Foundation, in 2012 the production toured throughout the UK including Sadler’s Wells, where Roald Dahl’s wife Felicity and Donald Sturrock, Dahl’s biographer, were in attendance.

With costumes by designer Steve Denton and a stunning lighting design by John Bishop, this is a performance with many wonderful surprises. This is a co-production between Ballet Cymru and The Riverfront Theatre.

The show will be held on Saturday 18th June 2016 at 7.30pm. Tickets: Standard £16/Concessions £15 (discounts for groups from dance/drama schools and clubs). Call 01278 784464 for tickets.
