This tiny bat is being cared for by wildlife rescuers after being found in a bathroom sink in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (June 11th).

Burnham’s Mayoress, Maria Clarke, was shocked to find the tiny creature in the bathroom of her home and took it to Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill.

“I went in to the room to brush my teeth and was surprised to see what initially looked like a small black bag in the sink,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“But then it moved and I was shocked to realise that it was actually a wonderful bat!”

“Michael and I took it to Secret World and it’s thought that it got in through a window and then tried to hide in the sink and drain where it was dark. Fortunately, I saw it before running the tap and it’s now being looked after by Secret World.”
