Churchfield School receives books boost after fundraiser
at a school in Highbridge have a bigger choice of hundreds of
extra books to read thanks to a fundraising push.
pupils at Churchfield School and nursery took part in a sponsored
read, raising over £900.
Claudette Murley, an Independent Usborne Children's Books organiser,
also organised a community book pledge scheme, inviting local
businesses to help the school, which raised a further £245.
who has helped the school get just over £2,000 worth of
books for free, said: "I would like an opportunity to thank
the businesses who have helped us publicly for their donations."

on how much they spend. Anything over £600 and Usborne will
give 60% on top for free.

for the parents to see this week. Six children have also received
prizes for raising the most funds in each key stage.
