A cafe in Burnham-On-Sea town centre has celebrated its 21st year of trading this week.

Cafe Aroma in Adam Street marked the special milestone on Tuesday (November 1st) with a visit by Burnham and Highbridge’s Mayor, Cllr Michael Clarke, who congratulated the team.

“We are incredibly grateful to our loyal customers for their support over the past 21 years – we thank them and our wonderful staff,” said manager Anna Penfold.

“We know there’s lots of competition and very much appreciate our customers’ support.”

Cllr Clarke said: “It’s great to see this business thriving and doing so well and I offer my congratulations to the team on the 21st anniversary.”

Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade added its congratulations, praising the staff for “21 years of hard work and great customer service.”

A raffle is being held throughout this week and will be drawn on Saturday, with many prizes available to customers.

The cafe was opened on November 1st, 1995 by Annna and Mark Penfold. Staff member Kim Brown also became a business partner in 2001.
