Mystery over cannabis plants dumped in road layby near Burnham

Burnham-On-Sea Police have appealed for information after several cannabis plants were found dumped in a road layby.

Police were called to Wick Lane between Burnham and Lympsham this week where the plants had been discarded.

"We found six cannabis plants - one mature plant and five smaller ones - dumped besides the road layby," a police spokesman told

"The plants have been seized and destroyed, but we are interested to know how the plants got there."

"Anyone with information should get in contact via the non-emergency police number 101."
