Hundreds of people gathered in East Huntspill on Saturday (September 3rd) for the village’s long-running harvest home.

The annual event was held in a huge marquee set up in a field next to Withy Road in the village.

After the traditional harvest lunch, there were competitions for best decorated baskets and scarecrows, plus live music and entertainment.

“We had a great turnout again this year – a total of over 400 people enjoyed the meal and we had dozens of helpers keeping it all running smoothly,” said one of the organisers.

Rupert Cox, the Chief Executive of The Royal Bath & West of England Society, was the special guest at this year’s harvest home.
